People's Gas Pavilion - Honeycomb Chicago Wedding Photographer

When I first met Lindsey on the wedding day, she was still getting hair and makeup done in the hotel room. The room was filled with friends and family, guys and gals, and the hustle and bustle of the wedding day was on! I had only a few seconds with the rings to photographs some of those details. One of the groomsmen was getting ready to do a "fake first look" with Hector in the adjoining hotel room. It was wonderful chaos! The first look finally went off and Hector was nervously ready, waiting for his bride, who after all turned out to be his own groomsman in a gown! A full room of aunts, and parents, and kids, and wedding party, and laughter started this day off right!

I parked pretty far away from the People's Gas Pavilion, or so it felt, on this extremely hot day, carrying my heavy bag of equipment. When I arrived at the ceremony site, Hector was ready at the back and his bride was walking over the bridge with her bridal party, all of whom were toting white umbrellas probably to both block her from the crowd and to shield themselves against the hot sun for their walk down. Lindsey was so beautiful!

This ceremony, complete with a loving groom, an adoring bride, and an impromptu game of "rock, paper, scissors" to see who will read vows first, was so sweet and unique. Through the heat, with lots of handheld fans at the ready, we captured lots of fun portraits around the Honeycomb after the ceremony.

Heartfelt speeches, mariachi band, games, and dancing - the reception was a lovely party! I was honored to witness Lindsey, Hector, and their supportive guests and family.
